For Families

We are in the business of helping parents fulfill their hopes and dreams of being able to send their kids (all of them) to college. We do this by helping families understand the college funding process, the key to unlocking the door to equal access to higher education, regardless of its cost. In doing so, we want to enable families to access the best college education possible without compromising their own financial stability and well-being. The tools and information we provide are designed to help college-bound students and families across the economic spectrum compete fairly for admission to institutions of higher education.

For Colleges

It is our goal to assist colleges across the nation by expanding their pool of qualified applicants in terms of student diversity and sheer numbers. We do this by providing families with the tools and information they need to make college a viable option regardless of its "sticker price."

When families understand the full spectrum of college funding options, they are not only more likely to apply to colleges (and a wider range than they might have considered before), but are also more likely to complete financial aid forms more accurately and completely. Parents who are equipped with a thorough understanding of the rules governing financial aid and its inherent limitations are likely to have more substantive interaction with college financial aid personnel.

For High School College Counselors

The true heroes in this process are those dedicated and talented high school college counselors. In secondary schools across the nation, the ratio of students to guidance counselors is in the neighborhood of 500-to-1, an unacceptable number by any standard. With caseloads like this, even the most dedicated counselor has little time to provide advice to individual college-bound students. The offerings of The College Company are designed to complement the work of college counselors, allowing them to do what they do best to help students with their academic planning, to keep them on track to graduation, and to guide them through the college application/admission process.

For Financial Service Professionals

We will continue to serve as a trusted advisor to all those involved in helping parents send their children to college. The College Company does not sell financial products of any kind. That is not our business. We serve as a resource for financial professionals who seek to better manage their client's wealth through the college years. We recognize that a primary threat to sound financial management is the cost of college. Our programs, developed with the assistance of practicing financial professionals, are designed to help financial managers preserve the long-term financial health of their clients by successfully navigating the economic challenges of the college years.

For Employers

The looming specter of college costs creates a significant stress point for working families across the nation. Companies that provide pre-tax, family-based benefits for employees enjoy greater staff productivity, lower employee turnover, lower payroll taxes, and an enhanced work environment full of more loyal, happier employees. The College Company has packaged its premier product offering so that employers can provide it as one of their many family-friendly employee benefits.

For Policy Makers

We believe a more educated America is in the national interest. Our goal is make college education a reality for all students and their families, regardless of economic background. With college costs escalating, funding a college education is rapidly becoming out of reach for ordinary Americans. To make the opportunities provided by a college education available to all qualified Americans, the financial aid system must change. The College Company is dedicated to working with others to transform the financial aid system into a more equitable, more understandable, more rational, and more user-friendly system for all concerned. We hope to be a strong voice for college funding reform on behalf of families, colleges, and the nation.
